Release Blitz & Review: Interference by Dakota Madison

Title: Interference
Author: Dakota Madison
 Release Date: February 9, 2015

Synopsis

USA TODAY Bestselling Author Dakota Madison returns with another spicy sports romance. This story set in the world of college basketball.

Neuroscience student SEDONA MILLER is perfectly imperfect. She’s slightly nerdy and slightly eccentric, but completely brilliant.

When an unfortunate accident leaves SEDONA with an injured arm and she’s fired from her part-time job shelving books at the university library she has to find a new gig fast.

The only job available mid-semester is working as a tutor for the athletic academic center. And the notorious bad boy of the university’s basketball team, JESSE WALKER, is the one and only guy on the new tutor’s roster.

But when SEDONA discovers a secret that could ruin the school’s winning basketball team doing the right thing could mean destroying the only guy she’s ever loved.

My Review:

Sedona is a quiet, stuidious genius type.  She's on a pretty straight and narrow path with school, and planning her future.  Then an accident costs her her job and she's left taking up the only one she can find available mid-semester. Tutoring athletes.  Having never been a sports fan or athlete herself, Sedona is quickly thrown into a crowd she's never known.

Jesse Walker, is a freshman who's already famous for being the most wanted bad boy on campus.  His focus is basketball and he's not exactly appreciative of needing a tutor. But his attitude quickly changes once he gets to know Sedona.

To say Sedona and Jesse are complete opposites might not be strong enough.  Their initial meeting shows instantly their differences.

The banter between Sedona and Jesse really adds to the sexual tension as it builds from page to page.  Being spoiler free, I'll say  there are little pieces of secrets here and there and speculation about things as well. These add a little bit of edge of your seat guessing to the story, wondering what will be proven true and what won't.

Sedona struggles with what to do once she discovers something about Jesse and the way things are working at the college. But to let her knowledge out, could hurt Jesse and get a lot of people in trouble. Not an easy choice to make when she's fallen in love with Jesse.

I enjoyed this story and watching each angle play out, I guessed certain things and others did surprise me. I enjoyed how Sedona and Jesse worked together and how the story went against the grain and wasn't like other 'regular girl falls for the athlete' stories.
