MY REVIEW:

Personal experiences in her past, make Maggie Kincaid more than good at her job, but they also make her highly emotional and still strongly angry.  She left the FBI after a particularly grueling case but finds herself being sucked right back in with this case.

A young girls life is on the line, and Maggie would do anything to ensure her safe return home, even if it means making other agents mad or stepping on toes.  What she doesn't need is anyone else standing in her way of doing things right and getting the job done.

At first, she clashes with Jake O'Connor, big time.  She feels as if he's questioning her authority and finding flaws in her methods. But something is off about this case and he seems to be the only one who sees that with her.

Dangerous Games is a thrilling story that will pull you in and keep you guessing.  Learning about Maggie's past will bring you closer to her, feelign her pain and making you hurt for her, but also allow you to see her inner strength and her deep seated desire for the case to end happily.  As the time grows, and the risks get higher, Maggie and Jake are able to work closer together, trying to find the pieces of the puzzle missing at first glance.

This story is very emotionally charged, but also full of suspense, questions that arise and keep you guessing with your heart thrumming in your chest as you turn the page awaiting the next twist in the story.

I look forward to reading more in this series and watching the relationship between Maggie and Jake further develop as they continue working together.
