About LOVE, HONOR, AND INK

In a bonus Montgomery Ink novella, it seems that falling for your best friend isn’t as easy as fiction says and friends of the Montgomerys might finally find their happy ever after.
Wedding planner Arianna King had everything planned out down to the last detail until her father's ultimatum changed everything. Now she’s alone, trying to open her own business, and seemingly failing at every corner. Just when things start to look even bleaker, she’ll find out just how much she can rely on her best friend—and herself.
Being in love with your best friend isn’t always easy as Harper Rosso knows. He’s been by her side since the beginning, but now that she finally has time to breath, he might just be able to show her what he could be for her. Only he’ll have to make sure he’s ready to take that chance and perhaps lose her forever.
Sparks fly between the two of them once they finally take their relationship to the next level. Only the burning temptation than fills them might not be enough in the face of what they left behind and what threatens their future.

Review

Love, Honor, and Ink was a quick but enjoyable read.  It was a story of best friends turned something more.

Arianna thought she knew what her future looked like, thought she had it all laid out for her, and then in what she thought would be the best meeting of her life, her father delivered another blow; she did what he wanted or he sold their family wedding business to a rival.  Not at all keen on taking more hits from the man, or accepting his outrageous proposal, Arianna quit the job instead.

Harper has wanted more than friendship from Arianna for a long time, but its never felt like the right time to tell her so.  Now that she's out from under her father's thumb, and struggling to make sense of her future, Harper not only wants to help her in any way possible, he wants to find his way in as more than a best friend.

As Harper helps Arianna decide on and grow her own business, his feelings deepen and finally start coming out, making things a little awkward for the two of them.  What I really enjoyed about this transistion for them was it wasn't just a smooth friends to lovers, but rather a gradual change peppered with concern over how things would change when they took that step and full of moments of uncertainty.  Even though their connection and chemistry was majorly felt, it was easy to see how there could be issues too in not wanting to lose anything or change the good friendship they had.

I found myself not only rooting for their relationship but also for Arianna to succeed in her business and prove to her father that she didn't need him or his ultimatums. I loved that she worked through the issues she had, rather than allow her self to be overwhelmed and pulled back into her father's web.

Love, Honor, and Ink was another amazing love story between this unique set of characters within the series, it was a fitting tale for these two best friends and I enjoyed how it all played out.
