Synopsis:

Some live on memories…

Almost dying during a pack uprising has a way of shaking things up. I’m no longer Mr. Laid Back now that there’s an itch under my skin I can’t scratch.

On a volunteer mission that goes beyond the walls of our compound, we enter the territory of a pack long thought dead, and find ourselves on the business end of their spears.

What I’m not prepared for is what I find within their walls—The one shifter I never thought I’d see alive, the one I’d mourned twice, the one I’d always loved. He is alive, and if I have anything to do with it, he’ll stay that way. But he’s got secrets, and exposing them could lead us to an enemy worse than the bloodthirsty undead shifters wanting to kill us all…

REVIEW

Chasing Destiny is book two of the Silver Tip Pack Series, and though it can be read as a standalone - I'd tell you to read this series in order. Megan Erickson has created a unique world of weres within this series and each book adds to that build up and will increase your understanding of how things function within the world.

Chasing Destiny delivers us a powerful love story while also showing us more of how the Silver Tip Pack will endure and survive because they are just and fair when they need to be and harsh and judging when it fits better.

When Bay sets out with a small team on a mission to discover truth to rumors about a once-thought-extinct pack, he never expects the changes on his own life that are about to happen. But upon finding the pack, alive, rebuilding and unsure of trusting Bay and the rest of the Silver Tips, he discovers something even more important than building a relationship - an ally - with them. He discovers a lost member of his very own pack, Nash.

But Nash isn't the man or were Bay remembers, he's been through a lot, he's suffered, he's felt guilt, and so much more. Nash doesn't believe himself worthy of love or pack or much of anything because of all that ws inflicted on him.  But Bay knows that Nash is the mate for him, that no matter what he can get him through, if Nash will give him a chance.

As Bay works on Nash and they make their way back to the Silver Tip Pack, Nash lets out bits and pieces of what he's gone through, releases secrets he's held dear. But is love and family, pack loyalty enough to bring Nash out of his own desperate feelings and back into the fold? Can Bay prove to Nash he doesn't have anything to worry about?

That's where Erickson takes us on an action filled journey with not just these two but the whole pack and their new found allies too.  With Danger lurking, an evil to be reckoned with, and innocents on the line, Chasing Destiny grabbed my attention and kept me captive from page one to the very last word. And in reading each word, I went through a range of emotions, from hurting with and for Nash and the others, to anger at the bad guys, swooning at the implicit trust Bay has that Nash could never bring harm, and a warm feeling for the connections between pack members - the bonds of family that exist.

With a few twists, I didn't see coming, Nash and Bay's story had it all.  Leaving me craving more from this pack and looking forward to the next in the series.
